Designed to ease you in with light bodyweight exercises and gradually increase in intensity, our phased programme will leave you feeling amazing and full of energy.

Gyms can be intimidating places, but Nikafit is more of a community than a conventional gym. When you jump into one of our NikaMums sessions, you’ll be surrounded and supported by other post-partum mums and a team of friendly trainers, who know exactly how to push you in the right direction.


RECONNECT THE CORE

To get the ball rolling, we focus on establishing good breathing patterns and reconnecting your core and pelvic floor, as you return to exercise after having your baby. Don’t worry, all our exercises are specially designed for your postpartum body.

At this stage our sessions will include bodyweight exercises, light resistance, core work, and lots of mobility.


BUILD STRENGTH

As we progress from phase one, we begin to introduce more strengthening exercises to our program, including weights to help develop your body strength.


RETURN TO IMPACT 

In the final phase of our programme, the pace of our workouts increase in intensity, enabling you to train just like you did before pregnancy (or like never before!)

Faqs

WHEN CAN I START?

The classes run every Tuesday & Thursday and you can start classes any time, once your doctor says it’s ok to return to exercise. 

Once you purchase credits and set up your account, your credits will be live to book classes.

DO I NEED TO COMMIT TO A CERTAIN NUMBER OF SESSIONS EACH WEEK?

No, the credits can be used as you need. You can choose between one or two sessions per week. Your credits can be used over a 3-month period, so no stress if you miss a session, or a week, here or there! 

DO I BRING MY BABY?

Of course, please do! We can’t wait to meet them. But, you can absolutely come without your baby too, if that suits you better. 

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING ELSE?

The gym is big, so feel free to bring babies in their buggies. We have mats and blankets, and some toys if your baby prefers to be out and about. Please bring along any of their favourite toys (and some snacks if their eating) to keep them as happy as can be while you get your workout in!

We also have comfy couches and a microwave, should you need to feed during the class. Plus, a coffee machine for those all-important post (or pre) workout catchups!

Other than that, just bring yourself and some water, and we will look after the rest.
